Immediate Justice Team facilitates the clear up of Artingworth Road path |
||
|
Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner Danielle Stone’s Immediate Justice Team have been making a path safer for residents to use in Desborough, after it was identified as a problem area by the Local Policing Team. The Immediate Justice programme offers people who have committed low-level crimes an alternative to prosecution. Offenders are referred to the team by police and given the opportunity to avoid being charged in court. Each offender has completed four hours of reparative work due to being caught committing public order offences, criminal damage and one who was in possession of drugs. The offenders spent their time clearing around the entrance of the path, starting at the gates on Artingworth Road, and worked to clear and widen the path, making it more accessible for local residents to use and overall more welcoming. The Immediate Justice Team will be returning to the path in the coming months to continue making improvements to the path. | ||
